Accommodations
Tia and Austin will be staying on site at the venue. For your convenience, we've reserved a block of 6 rooms, but please note that these rooms will be released to the general public by January if they haven’t been reserved. The rate is €300 per night, with the block covering the night of the 22nd and the 23rd. Breakfast is included. To book, please contact the hotel directly at info@cahernane.com, specifically stating that you are part of our wedding.
While convenient, staying at Cahernane is a more expensive option. Airbnb, Vrbo, and booking.com have plenty of cheaper options nearby as well. Hotels in the area typically range from €150-300 per night in late May. We’ve collected some accommodation recommendations from our trusted vendors below:

Attire
Cocktail attire, but since very few people agree on what that entails, check out the handy guide below. Tl;dr: for those who wish to wear more feminine clothing, that means dresses or jumpsuits. For those wishing to wear more masculine clothing, that means a suit and tie. In general, wear what makes you feel good about yourself, and try not to stress over it!
Keep in mind that Ireland in May is significantly cooler than most of the U.S. Average daytime highs in the Killarney area are around 57 - 61 degrees F. Average nighttime lows are 43 - 48 degrees F.
For those considering heels, please know that the ceremony will be held outside on the grass (weather permitting).
Travel
Tia and Austin strongly recommend having your travel plans in place ~6 months out, so by November your plans should be in place.
The closest airport to Killarney is Kerry Airport (~15-20 mins drive), which is a smaller, regional airport. The second closest airport is Cork International Airport, which is about 1 hr 15 mins from Killarney.
The cheapest option for many would likely be flying into Dublin International Airport, then taking the train or bus from Dublin to Killarney (~4 hrs, 30 mins). If you plan on doing this, please plan ahead, as train and bus tickets often need to be bought in advance. Transport for Ireland is a wonderful resource for finding routes and booking tickets.
Additionally, Tia and Austin plan on renting a car for their stay. They may be able to offer a select number of people rides from Cork to Killarney on Saturday. Please talk to them for details.
Once in Killarney, the venue is about a 30-minute walk from the city center, or a 16-minute bus ride.
Registry
Due to the realities of attending an international wedding in 2027, we are choosing to forgo a registry. Not only do we have more than enough stuff between the two of us, but your presence is truly enough, no gifts please.
That being said, we understand that many truly enjoy the act of gift-giving, in which case we’ve come up with two options:
1: A contribution of your choice to either Tia and Austin’s honeymoon or house fund, in which case please talk directly to them.
2: A contribution to the LGBTQ Center of Durham, made in our honor.
